Shaho Nemati is a Kurdish filmmaker based in Germany. His work explores identity, freedom and the fragile space between belonging and displacement.

Working across documentary and fiction, he is drawn to intimate stories that open onto larger questions of home, dignity and human resilience.

His selected film work includes JIN JIYAN AZADÎ, SOMETIME SOMEWHERE, LIFE ON THE BORDER, MARDAN and A FLAG WITHOUT A COUNTRY. His short fiction project AVÎN is in development.
